There are a million variations of this but here is a little something I wrote putting my spin on it to make you all laugh this morning...Merry Christmas to you all!! Was the night before Christmas when all through the Wing not an airmen was stirring not even Col Ator, the Great Wing King. I the, First Shirt, was up and about, making sure our airmen were snuggled and fed. while visions of C130s danced in their heads. From the flyers to the medics and com folks alike, finance and cops they all rested through the night. Enjoying their time with family and friends, as they wondered what St Nick would bring them and they grinned. While they were all safely snuggled warm and safe, I worried about those in far away places, as they would miss Christmas protecting our great nation. When all of a sudden I would awake, to the sound of odd noises making me shake! I spared no delay, as I jumped to my feet, and I ran to the window in full disbelief. Being on full Alert what did I see, but a three star general all dressed in his bling. He bypassed the cops and intel with speed as he landed on the base with clearance from ATC. He was swift and fast having passed his PFT, he grabbed his bag full of EPRs , OPRs and awards as he laughed and yelled there is much more. With new AFIs and promotions he did declare, the 189th is well prepared. He awarded his airmen each with a gift, and as he flashed his stars he turned in a flash, back on the airfield he ran to his ride, and took off in a dash. As he cleared the airfield and just in sight he yelled Merry Christmas to all and to all a goodnight
