There are a number of remedies from Tibb an Nabawi for skin disorders (#psoriasis, #eczema etc.) Here is a recipe for an external application which you can use to treat the skin; 400ml rose water 600ml pure halaal vinegar. Homemade is better than shop bought. 100 grams of sweet flag (acorus calamus) dried reed pieces or root pieces, depending on what is available where you live. 75 grams of dry roasted, crushed black seeds (nigella sativa) 75 grams of dried whole Henna leaves (lawsonia inermis), ground into a powder. 4 of the 5 above are directly from the Seerah of the Prophet (sallAllahu alayhi wa sallam). The rose water was recommended by Ibn Seena (may Allah be merciful to him) for skin conditions and burns. Mix all the ingredients together in an airtight glass container. Cover it and leave it to infuse for 3 weeks minimum. Then strain the liquid through a fine cloth. Discard the paste of the powders but keep the liquid in another clean glass container. You can recite Al Fatihah on the liquid before using it. Dip a cotton swab in the liquid and wipe it across the skin which is affected. It will dry quickly insha’Allah. Leave it on the skin for a minimum of 4 hours without washing it off. You can do this daily. As you are applying the liquid to the skin, it is best recite the supplication that the Messenger of Allah (sallAllahu alayhi wa sallam) used, “O Allah, Who extinguishes that which is big, and makes big that which is small, extinguish it for me.” – Narrated by Imaam Ahmad. Al Haithami said in Majma’ Al Zawa’id that the men Ahmad’s isnad are the men of saheeh except for Mayram Bint Iyas, who is Maqbool. اللَّهُمَّ مُصَغِّرَ الكَبِيرِ، ومُكبِّرَ الصَغِيرِ، صَغِّرْ مَا بِى. Hijaama will also be necessary to detoxify the blood. Although not more than 3 sessions are required in one year unless the psoriasis is chronic. Choose the best of the days in the month – a Monday or Tuesday which falls on either the 17th, 19th or 21st of the Islamic month. Be in the state of Wudhu when you go for the appointment. #TibbNabawi
