There are many reasons why Suffolk is well known as a place for lovers of literature to congregate: one of them is the Aldeburgh Poetry Festival, the UK’s pre-eminent festival of national and international contemporary poetry. Taking place from 7th – 9th November, the 26th Aldeburgh Poetry Festival will comprise over 50 poetry events including workshops, readings and close-readings, discussions, craft-talks, performances and exhibitions. Poets from all over the world will move their audiences with the spoken word. It’s a highly inspirational event, as this guest last year makes apparent: Did I enjoy the festival? Did I get from it what Id expected? Was I inspired? YES! YES! YES!
