There are moments still where I look at Cleo happily content to just chill out/sleep/doze on the sofa/floor/bed and outside in the sun and remember when we got her she was incredibly anxious, skittish and reluctant to settle checking everything all over the house. She has come so far since then. Cleo is a rescue as you all know and she had a rough start as a Pup with being abandoned. I worked out that she would have been homed as a pup before Christmas so I wanted to take a moment and say if you are considering a puppy please remember that they are for life, you are their world for their whole existence and depend on you. They are as much like children who need guidance and affection and boundaries. There are also many dogs in shelters who will spend this Christmas without a family while lucky ones like Cleo will be surrounded by them and a warm fire to curl up in front content she doesnt have to worry that if we leave the room she feels safe and doesnt need to follow on our heels.
