There are people who are willing to sacrifice anything to make their dreams come true and then there are those people who sit back and dont do anything to make their dreams a reality and criticize those who do. Yesterday I posted a campaign on gofundme . Yes, I may need help but Im not too proud to say so. More importantly I just wanted to see what kind of response Id receive. As expected theres more judgement than help. See, I figure if there are people out there getting funded for things as ridiculous as the guy who wanted to just make potato salad, who has been given over $50,000and counting, for nothing , then not just me but anyone who actually needs help making their dreams a reality has a legitimate reason to ask people for help in their time of need. I have dreams that I plan on making come true, dreams and ideas that could potentially change the world, and i will not let any obstacle stand in my way, because its people like myself who are willing to risk it all, are the ones who are responsible for the changes in the world. So many excellent inventions have never materialized because someone actually listened to the nay Sayers,or because they were afraid of being look at funny. I dont think that many people realize that the technology made available to them is the result of someone doing whatever it takes to see their visions through. If you study the lives of the most successful people in the world, you will see that each one of their visions,ideals and goals required outside help. There was no way to single handedly materialize their ideas. Even in their earliest stages, they did whatever was needed to achievement success. Working what jobs they had to, asking people for help when they needed it and so on. Mark zuckerberg envisioned Facebook, and spent every single day making that dream a reality..going as far as to drop out of Harvard to work on it. How many people do you think he asked for money ? Tons is the answer. He received much criticism but he didnt stop,one day he finally came across Napster founder who was willing to support his idea financially,obviously theres more he did but the rest is history. My point is, most people who will critique someone are the same people who are sitting around not making their dreams a reality. Theyre sitting around filled with regret because they didnt step out on a ledge and take a chance or they are too scared to step out of the ordinary, they just go with the flow. Those same people are the ones who are benefiting from the products created by those who didnt let anything get in their way. Thats literally the point of crowd funding sites such as fundly , kick starter and gofundme. These sites allow people to connect and help others with their path to achieving their goals. The future of cell phones is about to change real soon thanks to someone getting funded on kick starter, cloud computing is about to revolutionize data analytics, universally available wifi will soon be available. So many obscure ideas about are about to change the world and each one of those ideas come from someone who has asked for help along the way. You cant judge someone whos actually trying to make a difference when youre not out there being the most successful you that you can be. Theres a girl out there trying raise money so she can go to ministry school..people want to criticize her, but what if she becomes the next female Billy Graham? Then when she brings thousands to Christ her critics will be the same ones thanking God she was born. See, the inventors,visionaries and everyone else who risk it all for their ideas arent doing it for themselves, theyre risking it all for us. They know that their ideas could potentially give us an enriched future and theyre doing whatever it takes to make it happen.So, next time you think about judging someone who is wiling to go to any extreme to achieve their goals, look at yourself and ask, have you done whatever it takes to reach the level of success youve always wanted, or are you sitting around pointing fingers at the future world changers only to live off of their creations in the future?
