There are some interesting points raised in this all-far-left conversation about race and crime in Chicago. One thought...right off of the bat, Chris Hayes says that the suburbs are safe and predominantly white as if it were the worst thing imaginable (and somehow the cause of the city seeing higher rates of crime and more minorities living in it). The problem, of course, is not ultimately what your skin color is. Its what type of culture and family environment you grow up in. Its what type of values are instilled in you from an early age. Its about having a dad (or at the least positive male role models) around. I have no comment right now on the city vs. the suburbs stuff that many Christians have written and spoken extensively on. I would like to know where Chris Hayes and Clarence Page live. I doubt its Compton.
