There are some projects which are inspiring, mine are always daunting. Get stuff that is thrown at me, and I have to sink or swim, and most often swim, but with loads of salt water in my mouth. This is the Andys Quartz Cottage (the worlds first) latest from across the valley and the only one of its kind in the whole world. Two rooms available by mid April. Rates reduced, 5000 a day, includes breakfast for 2 and each room houses 4 people, with two large beds 5 x 6 foot. Since the nights are still cold it is a cuddle bed! :) To get beer and booze you have to visit the Royal Mall on Gunewardena mawatha, the new road to Kandy town and buy it before you bring it on board. The taxi is Derana Cab or Kandy cab, and it costs about 840 bucks to come to the cottage from the Peradeniya station. 25 minutes ride to my place. The sitting room is underway! :) on the second floor. Mine is the only one that looks like this. Someone said it looks like a ship! Galley on deck then! Good night all.. Antoinette Manning came and has to stay, Annette Nicholas came when it was first floor level. Chitranjan Nicholas came at the second room level, my cousin who is not on the web Christine, stayed over night. Kumudhu, Baghya Senanayake and Thyaga Dimithri Gunasinghes mum stayed overnight. Samantha Sajee helped with the interior decor (great!), and she came with her daughter. Nivethika Gn Pragash has visited. Yixuan Lee stayed over night with her friend Mengxiao Wang, Liu and his friends stayed overnight, Not bad, and the cottage was under construction. Still is. Water delivered from bowsers, severe shortage of water caused by the Pines which kill the earth and destroy the natural growth, saps the water and makes barren wastelands! Supposedly a byproduct of Premadasa who did not know what he did. Tell me a Government officer who does! Hantana has a reservoir because the minister was in the scheme. So we need to invite a big wig to Galaha! Let me know whether he is a tree burner! :) And the said Minister has planned the burning of 50 acres of pine forest because it is damaging the earth and sri Lanka. Tell them to knock off the lights at the Lotus Pokuna at night, then we may have a cooler world! The Kandy roads are really out of this world. Easy driving!
