There are some things drivers in-the-know do to communicate with other motorists. One is to flash their bright lights at oncoming traffic to warn them of an obstacle in the road, accident, fire or yes, a lurking police officer. Slow down! Or they may flick their high beams to remind an oncoming motorist that they forgot to turn their bright lights down. Then there is flash to pass, an attention-getter to let a car know they are being passed. I learned that in Drivers Ed.. But one misunderstood warning is to flash a slower moving vehicle to suggest they move over and let you pass. This is not a hysterical move, it is a polite Please pull over, I am wanting to do at least the speed limit, not 35 mph under.... In the mornings, people have places to go and people to see. Please, if someone flashes you to ASK that you turn out, please be polite and do so.
