There are those that believe in Heaven, those that believe in reincarnation, those that believe that in the end, there is nothing, and those who believe in other things. Regardless of our belief system, we all live, we all die, and none of us know 100% for sure what comes to us in the end, besides our faith. There are those that believe that if there is nothing waiting for us in death, then theres no point to trying hard in our lives, but I feel that they are wrong. I feel in my heart that no matter how our lives play out, we leave behind a legacy that will last forever. The kind of legacy you leave behind, is solely up to you. A person can try to control/dictate your life, but ultimately, you are the deciding factor in your life. You choose how you live and die (for the most part). There are awful things in this world, but we can choose to forgive, go for vengeance, remain good, turn bad, fight, flee, etc. What kind of legacy will you leave behind in the end? Who are you as a person? A legacy doesnt have to be solely about monetary things or something physical, like art or a machine. It could be the memories that youve given to others of you, a child of yours thats turned out well, you surviving a nightmarish situation, etc. We can make light shine in the darkness, but we have to give it our all. Find that one thing that gives you great joy and strength, and never let it go. ~Cat
