There are times when we are speaking to HS or youth coaches and you see people who are casual listeners, don’t have any questions, don’t take any notes, etc. This week when we were working with the Philadelphia Eagles, one of the things Coach Kelly wanted us to do was sit in on as many position meetings as possible. Every single time when the meeting ended, the coach came directly to me and asked, “how did that go?” - “any thoughts on how I could have improved the instruction?” - “do you have any materials that could help me with that?” – “please give me any feedback you have” – etc. They immediately pulled out their notebooks and took notes and then came back and found us later to follow up after they had time to think about it. There is a reason people are at the top of their profession – they are always open to improvement, they are always looking for an edge. Loved our time there. No matter what level you coach, your kids deserve your best
