There are two scams that started this weekend where mobile phones are being called from a number that displays as 559-5. When you answer, there is an automated message stating that your debit card has been deactivated or your Conway National Bank debit card has been deactivated. The recipient of the call can “reactivate” their debit card by entering their 16 digit account number and PIN. Several HTC mobile exchanges have received these calls over the weekend and today. Conway National Bank officials confirm their banking customers have received these calls and the callsare not legitimate. Should you receive a call of this nature, do not enter your 16 digit account code or PIN.
