There have been a number of burglaries in the rural villages surrounding Gainsborough in the past week. Those responsible appear to be targeting vehicles specifically. The offenders are mainly entering via insecure doors or open windows in order to find vehicle keys. They have also taken cash and jewellery. Please remain vigilant in keeping your properties secure. With the warmer weather, people are much more inclined to leave windows open, but unfortunately these are the properties that are being targeted. Make sure all downstairs windows are closed and locked at night if possible, and ensure car keys are kept in a secure and discreet place within your property. The Rural North Team.
