There is NOTHING new about this so-called soft bigotry, or what may just as correctly called the stealth bigotry of low expectations. This has been a stock-in-trade plank in the policy platform of the Democrat party for decades. They have managed to convince some supposedly well meaning but completely ignorant very noisy mouthpieces from the communities of minorities; that THEY the Democrats are some sort of avenging angels or political saviors of these supposedly and some formerly disenfranchised minorities. While in point of historical fact the Democrat party literally OWNS the very worst acts of bigotry and most violent of abuses against minorities, including especially blacks and Hispanics. It is the Democrat party which founded the Ku Klux Klan, and used it as a political weapon of terrorism against blacks and any whites who might be found to support them in their quest for equal rights and equal treatment under the law. It was Democrats pretty much exclusively who, through the KKK engaged in violent intimidation and even lynching and other forms of murder to try to disenfranchise black people. It was the Democrat party and their most iconic leaders who fought hard to prevent passage of the civil rights act of the mid 60s. It is the Democrat party yet today who have convinced many black and Hispanic people that they are not good enough at their jobs, or smart enough to compete evenly against all others for admission to colleges and for advancement in the workplace. It is the Democrat party who have constantly worked to teach black people and other minority groups that they need special consideration, or extra points on exams over their white peers. Yes it is the Democrat Party which has engaged in this continual campaign of stealth bigotry of lowered expectations. The stealth bigotry of reducing peoples self-esteem.
