There is a Japanese saying If you say thank-you a million times, the universe is transformed forever. Last year I started a FB Group that invited people to say Thank You a million times as a way of awakening gratitude and healing our perceptions of the world. Many people joined and some actually went on to complete saying thank you over a million times in 2014. I congratulate their persistence and commitment to this beautiful practice. Every one who joined the group got something out of it. For me, even though I somehow lost my enthusiasm for counting thank yous at about the quarter of a million mark, the practice ignited the flame of gratitude deep within consciousness and increasingly found expression in my everyday life. I now find myself inwardly saying thank you and really being thankful at many different times of the day, even in situations where I may have earlier found reason to judge or resist something. I am so grateful for everyone who participated in this gratitude experiment for some time or all of it and those who continue practicing even now. May you keep growing in joy, clarity and wisdom!
