There is a difference between form and content. Form changes, but content is energy and cannot be destroyed. Once energy is created, it lives. I ran for Congress because I felt -- and still feel -- that a political campaign could both harness and create a container for a particular kind of energy: namely, our desire for meaning within the public realm. Much energy was indeed harnessed by the campaign, though it did not coalesce powerfully enough to turn into the votes to take us past the primary. I know there is both desire and energy, however, for the energy to simply take a different form. I ask that those who agree with this hold the consciousness with me that it be so. If this consciousness is not held, and the energy is not acted on, then it will simply disperse into the atmosphere and lose its collective force. The energy will still turn into individual expressions of goodness and meaning, but I remain committed to whatever collective expression it might be my role to help create. Lets all be alert and watchful. Its as though a universal GPS is re-calibrating our route right now. Stay tuned to where love leads us, individually and together.
