There is a general call for a renewed relationship and intimacy with God, especially as the events around the world is coming to a climax that would usher in the coming of the Great and wise King Jesus. The days are seriously evil. Darkness has covered the earth and dense darkness all the people. (Isaiah 60:2) Only believers who have a covenant relationship with King Jesus in all faithfulness, holiness and righteousness would be able to overcome these perilous times. This also is a general call to repentance. Ministers of God, members of denominations, heads of governments and the society at large. There is a separation taking place right now, where the goats are separated from the sheep, where the lukewarm are separated from God. (Rev. 3:14-17). Spiritual blindness has covered the church just like Eli the High Priest, spiritual poverty has engulfed the church and they are spiritually naked (No Glory). Where every physical enjoyment is now a mirage because of some prevailing factors in the lives of believers • Matt. 15: 8- This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. • Luke 11:39- the Lord said unto him, now do ye Pharisees make clean the outside of the cup and the platter; but your inward part is full of ravening and wickedness. • Titus 1:16- They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate. The ways of God are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:9). The saints of God have defined for themselves how God should respond to their selfish fleshy desires; believers now search for God in the likeness of their need and in the lack of their wants. Note these believers, GOD has a HIGH STANDARD and He will never compromise it for any man. God is sending judgment to the church and He will start with His servants. The Glory can’t return to the church until there is a renewed change of heart and repentance of the church • Psalms 51:17- The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise. • Psalms 24:3-5 - 3Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place? 4 He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. 5 He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation. Let us therefore as regarding these issues realigning ourselves unto God • Heb. 12:14- Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord: • Romans 12:1- I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. • 2 cor.7:1- Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. • 1 Peter 1:15 -But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; • James 4:8- Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. Rev.22:11-15, 2Tim. 3:13, Prov. 4:18 Finally believers, whosoever has an ear, let him hear what the spirit of the Lord is saying to the Church. CJ JONAH
