There is a lot of hue and cry in the Congress party over the Congress Presidents decision of requesting Shahi Imam Janab Ahmed Bukhari saheb to make an appeal to the muslim community to vote for Congress. Nobody in the congress party had the guts and the courage to oppose the decision of Sonia Gandhi ji. But after the debacle of the party in the Lok Sabha election, the senior party functionaries are calling Shahi Imam as the communal leader. My question is if he is communal today, then he was communal yesterday as well, then why they kept mum then? Muslims are not here to be made as the scape goats. I am neither a supporter of Shahi Imam saheb nor his follower but as an Indian, I felt hurt at this statement. During the elections, when BJP was criticising Congress Presidents meeting with Shahi Imam, then no Congressman supported BJP but today they are proving by their statements that BJP was right. If Congress has lost the elections, it is because of the Tanashahi attitude of every single minister, every single party functionary both at the centre and the state level but it is easy to find a scape goat for the defeat and the scape goat could be only the muslims...very unfortunate...isnt?
