There is a lot of passion for Herne Bay/ The Pier restoration and so on. So I thought I would present my idea for our lovely sea-side Town & how we can all help continue to support the Clock Tower preservation... Most people are not aware that the Heritage Lottery Fund are funding the Clock Tower restoration project, currently underway, but only for a period of 36 months, after which we are on our own. Future restoration/preservation & funding is down to the Town really. One way of raising future funds for its continued preservation is through direct public sales of Tales From The Clock Tower, and a healthy % from every book sold goes into this fund. Now you are all aware I expect a 100% rise in sales lol..! Also I am pushing for us to have a new sign that depicts our seaside Town and supports how much we are child friendly. Not only that but it is one of the main characters from the book. I have spoken with CCC signs dept and received very encouraging feedback, but have yet to speak with KCC signs & highway to take this to the next level. Can I have your support and backing, through a like and share please of this post. If it does come to it I may need to draw up a petition but with the story behind the sign itself we may find it not necessary.
