There is a nasty, secret tape recording doing the rounds of FB where SAJ and Lady J are tape recorded discussing Kobita Jugnauths private life. Now, there have been many low blows in this electoral campaign, but this one is really beyond the pale. As far as I know, Kobita Jugnauth has never put herself forward as a politician or as a public figure, and therefore ought to have been crossed off the list of the targets that all political parties have as part of their campaign strategy. This is really unforgivable, and we have really plumbed the sewers of cheap, gratuitous publicity with that audio recording. I am informed that the rat who did this is a police bodyguard, one of these VIPSU, VVIPSU, or God knows what other SUsutri our politicians always invent in order to waste taxpayers money, simply to inflate their already gargantuan egos. I have always said that these groups of neer do well ought to be reduced to its absolute minimum, but that is a discussion for another day. What Kobita Jugnauth ought to do now is to immediately issue proceeding against the rat and the admins of the PTR FB page for diffusing something that is a/ recorded by subterfuge and, if I remember correctly, unlawful in Mauritius b/ concerns the private life of a private citizen whose rights are sacrosanct under our constitution 3/ ask the moribund police commissioner to immediately inquire into the mercenary predisposition of the force under his command. This should be done immediately, together with an injunction for the offensive material to be removed from all platforms. I fear this is going to backfire on the PTR. What is now stopping Lalliance Lepep from disclosing all the video tapes that it claims to have on Ramgoolam/Nandini, etc? Politics at its very worst in Paradise Island, I am afraid, with this disgraceful rape of someones private life and who, as far as we know, is not shagging the Prime Minister in exchange for contracts that would have made her a billionaire with taxpayers money.
