There is a precise process into developing pottery. The potter prepares the dry clay by sifting it, and then putting the clay in water. Once he gets the desired texture, the clay is ready to be shaped. The formed clay dries, and then is fired by heat. During the drying, the piece can receive any modifications or decorations. Imagine the potters role similar to God. The potter didnt get annoyed or frustrated when the clay didnt turn out right. He didnt blame the clay. Since the material was still useable, the potter started creating again. He wasnt afraid of extra work. We are the lump of clay God is trying to form into a beautiful masterpiece. Just because we may mess up, God doesnt change. He picks us up and starts over, just like the potter did with the clay object. Gods vision for our lives is still the same. It reaffirms His unconditional love for us. #Jeremiah18:4 4 And the vessel he was making of clay was spoiled in the potters hand, and he reworked it into another vessel, as it seemed good to the potter to do.
