There is a variety of agate found in the Pacific Northwest called Graveyard Point Plume. It is found as seams in the volcanic rock. The agate plumes grow inward from the walls of the fissure ( seam ). This interesting Lake Superior Ruin Agate was fractured while still in the original rock it formed in. This open fracture then behaved like a miniature seam in which an entirely new agate formed. This new agate is very similar to the Graveyard Point Plume. This agate has a flat cut and polished face.
