There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. Proverbs14:12. Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Proverbs 3:5,6. For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. Isaiah 55:8,9. All the ways of man are clean in his own eyes; but the Lord weigheth the spirit. Proverbs 16:2. There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, and yet is not washed from their filthiness. Proverbs 30:12. Know where you stand in God, make your calling and election sure. Life is too short to be treading the wrong path. As we travel this road, be very careful, we may not get the chance to turn around and make corrections. Every day we are doing judgement work. The hymn author says, How careful then ought we to live, with such Religious fear, When we must give such a strict account, for Our behaviour here. Yes, every secret of the heart shall shortly be Made known, And I receive my just reward for all that I have Done.
