There is an Old Polish saying Not my circus, Not my monkey Well - TopicsExpress

There is an Old Polish saying Not my circus, Not my monkey Well thats a overly simple way of saying Not my problem. Well Im here today to proclaim the the USA IS my circus and the current regime is our monkey so what do we do about it? Originally our founding fathers lived thru the horror of an all powerful King and had nothing they could do, except revolt so they left Mother England and came to America. Here where we sought our God given rights. and for the atheist among us, our humanity (let the hate mail flow....) The founders were seeking to avoid a repeat of the past, even when were no longer under Englands thumb. the long reach of the Empire followed us here until we took by force what was never the Kings to take away. What the framers debated on was how to avoid a repeat of history? The framers believed that this separation of powers would ensure that no one person or group of persons would be able to create, administer and enforce the laws, and that each branch would be a check on the power of the other two branches. Under this scheme, Congress cannot give its lawmaking powers to the executive or judicial branch. The courts are charged with ensuring that the three branches act independently and do not overreach their delegated powers. But in some instances, two branches of government are required to work together. For example, the Senate must approve the president’s appointments to the U.S. Supreme Court, and the president has the power to veto acts of Congress or to pardon convicted criminals. Another important principle that todays politicians ignore is contained in Article I, Section 1: The federal government’s power is limited to what is written in the Constitution. These are known as enumerated powers. If the Constitution does not specifically give a power to the federal government, the power is left to the states. To the average citizen this is pretty straight forward BUT as to there never being any question as to this principle It was also carved in stone by the 10th Amendment. History post it note We always here of the Supremacy Clause giving the govt. supreme powers. Well thats true BUT the only supreme power they can exercise is in dealing ONLY with the 18 enumerated powers that We the people give them. Notice I said give What the people give the state, the people can take away from the state. Later I shall cover Article 1 section 2 which tells us just how many representatives we can elect. And this also will explain why we have a Congress and a Senate.... The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary. H. L.
