There is no feat by anyone in the history of this world as the one by this Great Man. Prophet Mohammed (Peace be upon him) was born an orphan, lost his mother at 5, married @25. He could not read or write. he attained his Prophethood @40. For 13 long years he invited people of Makkah to One True God, and was persecuted by his own people. Finally he left Makkah to a friendly Medina. There he formed and developed a community, established a religious, political, economical and judicial system in JUST 8 years! He went back to Makkah as a leader without letting a drop of blood. His compassion was so impressive that everyone in Makkah accepted Islam. He left this world only two years after that Great Victory. He was 63. He had promised his companions that Islam will spread far and wide but he himself was not there to witness his prophecy come true. 1420+ years have passed. A third of Humanity follows this system now. Many kings have ruled the world, many different -isms, communism, socialism, capitalism etc were developed and have failed but Islam has not changed. That, is the shortest history about this Simple but The Greatest Man. No one or anything could change the system established by Prophet Mohammed. Those who tried perished, but Islam lives on as strong and true as ever. There are the same 5 daily prayers now. One needs only to visualize for a moment.. as the sunrises or sets in each time zone, the five prayer calls ring out in succession in every part of the world. At every tick of a clock, somewhere in this world, there is someone calling for prayer, someone standing, bowing or prostrating in prayer. Someone reading the Quran and some accepting the beauty of equality, justice and compassion of Islam. Because these are the very basic values of humanity which appeal to every human being. There are no men on horseback with brandishing swords forcing people to convert. There are no dollars or riyals or dinars being distributed. Its only men and women who seek God who find Him in the beautiful verses of Quran. Prophet Mohammeds greatest success lies in directing all to One True Eternal God, while he could have easily claimed, and people would have willingly accepted him as God himself. He was the best of friends, a good husband, a kind master, a feared commander, a patient mentor, a great leader and a wise teacher. He was revered and loved by his companions in his very life time. His success also lies in removing the extreme reverence of all men and man made things, including Kaaba itself, and showing it to be only a direction towards which all the humanity should turn to, for unity in prayer. So, why is Islam being attacked now? In fact, this is neither the question of NOW nor is it the first time. This beautiful religion has always been attacked by dictators and nations, from the very first day because this is the ONLY complete and practical system of life that challenges all their Economic and Political plans. Islam says everyone is equal (judged only by their actions) , which is a threat to class/caste based system - political challenge! Islam says there is no intermediary between God and Man/woman, this is a threat to priesthood and so called God-men-Religious challenge! Islam shuns interest-based banking which is nothing but means of modern slavery, the money lenders and bankers hate it-economic challenge! All these areas are where man tries to find ways to enslave others. Islam attacks these inhuman plans at the very core and exposes their evil designs. Since the system is so clear, simple, unshakeable and unbreakable the perpetrators feel helpless and find it easy to attack its weak followers who are ordinary men, who have all the imperfections of a human being - by labeling them Islamic Terrorists! Muslims have perished but Islam, inspite of being attacked everyday has stood its ground. Thousands of books have been written during the last 1420 years attacking Islam and Quran, but they are hardly read or have disappeared, and the Holy Quran stands likes a giant against all the books! It neither needs a translation nor a commentary, and has stood its time in its original Arabic form, and by the Will of God stay like that till the end of Time itself. By attacking muslims as Islamic Terrorists, a dictator or a group of people only aim to divert the attention of the gullible public from the true and just system called Islam, to implement their own devious system to enslave them with fear, promises or privileges over other people. And one should feel sorry for those who fall prey to these evil tactics and are led astray. Here is the first chapter of the Quran, which every Muslim reads in all his five daily prayers. Is Quran teaching violence? It goes as follows: 1.In the name of Allah , the Most Benevolent, the Most Merciful. 2.All praise belongs to Allah , Lord of the worlds. 3. The Most Benevolent, The Most Merciful, 4.Master of the Day of Judgement. 5.It is You we worship and You we ask for help. 6.Guide us to the straight path 7.The path of those upon whom You have bestowed favor, not of those who have evoked Your anger or of those who are astray. Like they say, Truth defends itself. Its all there in the Quran waiting for us. The first revelation to Prophet Mohammed, who could not read or write was Read! read in the name of Thy Lord, who created you.... Quran literally means The Reading or something that is read.
