There is no gap between Genesis 1:1 and Genesis 1:2. There is scripture backing for this. Exodus 20:11 (NASB) For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, sea and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day; therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy. Also remember who Moses was speaking to when he taught the Hebrews the Law of the Lord. They were freed slaves not philosophers, so what God meant by 6 days were actually literal 24 hour days. Any belief that there is a gap in Genesis is a form of compromise, along with old earth creation, and evolutionary Christianity. Its a compromise for evolutionary thinking so dont buy into it!!!
