There is no point in being angry anymore over the amount of lies that are told in this town. Get even. Do journalism; blog; get involved and work to make our governments more responsive and more accountable to us; build companies that improve the lives of the people you love; volunteer in your communities and your churches, and smile at a homeless person once in a while - some of them are truly alone, confused , and scared...buy them some water this summer. Make art and spread positive vibes into the world; the news is predominantly ugly and negative on purpose because you instinctively click on negative things. But you also have an appetite for things that are good, true, and beautiful. Feed your soul with those things. Become whole again. Were in the fight of our lives - all of us, no matter your political persuasion. There is only one rule in Washington: power. But the soul of America is greater than that. And then, when it is your turn: vote. Vote the bastards out. We need more statesman, and fewer politicians. All is not lost, despite what the hysteria on the Internet seems to suggest. Not yet. We are a great country and a great people whose freedom was won over and over again through blood, sweat and tears. But if you dare blow up my newsfeed three weeks before an election about doing my part and exercising my right to vote and youve not done your homework, you are part of the problem. There are no more excuses for remaining uninformed. We are in the beginnings of the greatest information revolution since the invention of the printing press. Dont let the powerful who use it to their advantage to keep you in the dark through impressive speeches and elaborate public relations campaigns continue to get away with hijacking our liberties. Spread light, spread love. And get off of the Internet and go call your mom.
