There is nothing more frustrating than being in a bad mood. and being of European background when I am in a bad mood its a doozy. There doesnt need to be a reason for a bad mood - it could be that dinner is five minutes late, someone ate the last bit of chocolate or worse still there is no chocolate. It could be that your teenager is having a break after studying for five minutes, your husband keeps asking whats wrong with you or your Mother keeps insisting that Halloween is tonight instead of next week. Today amidst the start of a bad mood fueled by no morning coffee (what was I thinking?) we went into a local shop to check out a few items we are considering buying. A kid being paid to obviously do nothing gave me his oh youre a teacher and you suck look and proceeded to ignore me. Plus personal hate he was chewing gum. I am equally as good at the look (ask my nephew), but I like to calculate my attack. When Mark joined me said kid woke up and asked if we needed help. I gave him a piercing look, said oh you want to help me now and walked haughtily away. This was wasted on Mark who started a long conversation with him. Damn that man.He is just too nice and rarely in a bad mood. We need to stop living on different planets. I come from a good family of bad mooders. My youngest sister can descend into one at record speed and I guess if Guinness book of records came hunting she would be a contender. It could be she doesnt like you full stop and you are wasting her living time. It could be your shoes are offending her personal style or it ( and this is most likely) could be that someone has consumed her last bit of Margaret River peppermint chocolate and she is going to hunt them down and rip their limbs off gently. There seems to be a bit of a theme here. According to Dr Google there are three questions you need to ask youself when in a bad mood. First ask yourself whats really bugging me? Ok here goes. At this point in time whats really bugging me is the question whats for dinner, the fact that there are two empty packages of panadol near a bin, the fact that my daughter cant study for longer than five minutes and yeah also the fact that because of dumb arse sales boy I now need to watch the X factor grandfinal on my current TV. God Im good at this!!! Next question please. Am I avoiding something? Mmm hard one - cooking dinner, washing the bathroom floor, opening the pack of Quality Street in the fridge. And question three - could it be more than one thing??? Yes. I want coffee. Its 5.30pm and I havent had a coffee all day. I am so good at this that I am shaking with anticipation as the next page loads. HOW TO CALM DOWN. What an anticlimax! What a waste of time ! No wonder Im in a bad mood. Somebody make me a coffee, open the Quality Street and get my sister on the phone.
