There is something I have been meaning to write here for sometime now but I keep forgetting to because my mind is all a jumble with the recording of our new album and all the complicated stuff that goes along with that kind of endeavour . What I wanted to say was that it can be so weird being in a band sometimes because we are watched and analyzed at every turn and that can be very strange and unsettling but also an honour. What people sometimes forget however, is that we too are watching and observing. As a result we are often very privileged to watch the development of so many of you throughout your lives. Some of our fans have followed us through thick and thin for 20 years now and some of you we have picked up along the way as recently as today or yesterday. The last time we released a record was in 2012. We were performing a very small, intimate show for a LA based radio station in Hollywood where we got introduced to a shy, shrinking little violet of a girl pictured in a photo below with the band. She was so timid that she was shaking and I remember thinking I had to be so very careful in my dealings with her because it seemed glaringly apparent that I might frighten her with the full bore of my personality. Well a couple of years have passed since and she attended a variety of garbage shows over that time. Each show we couldnt help but notice her confidence increasing from the last time we saw her. From an almost painfully shy girl, we watched her bloom into a fully realized, confident woman that you see here below in her swan dress. Every time I see her........ she always causes me to think to myself: This kind of metamorphosis happened to me too. And if it can happen to people like me and our gorgeous swan below, it can happen to anyone. Man or woman alike, I challenge you. For all of you who are unhappy like I was, for all of you who believe that you are already formed, hardened and calcified, I say that you never stop changing. Every day you become someone new. Nothing lasts or stays the same. You too can bust out and take up space and be done being uncomfortable and timid. All you need to do is start believing that magic can happen to anyone, anytime at all.
