There is something so lovely I just wanted to share with everyone and it is this video. My whole life Ive loved birds and since 2001 starlings have been my favorite. We recently took in 4 rats and I named one of them Starling because naming one magnificent creature after another feels like a compliment to me. So soon, when Starling, Sparrow, Crow, and Dove graduate from quarantine well be introducing them to everyone. In the meantime, just sit back and feast your eyes on this fabulous video. Ive witnessed this very same bird behavior in Southern California wetlands, but it was seabirds, not starlings. So, it was precious to me to be able to see, by video, starlings engaging in the same behavior.
