There was a little girl who fell out of bed in the middle of the night. She cried and her mom came in and picked her up, comforted her and put her back in bed. Then mom asked the child why she fell out of bed and the little girl said I think I stayed to close to where I got in. This story was told by Pastor McGee, while explaining how Christians end up falling back to the lifestyles that they climbed out of when they became Christians. Do we stay to close to where we got in by being Sunday Christians. Move to the comfort of the center (the Holy Spirit is described by Jesus as the comforter, our advocate) and be sure that we dont fall out. Each one of us knows where the edge is and we need to move away from that edge and closer to the safety of the presence of the lord in our lives.
