There was a report from the Syrian media on the assassination of nuclear scientists within the country. A media outlet associated with the Syrian opposition reported that five nuclear scientists were killed by unknown assailants near the suburbs of Damascus. According to one version of the story, the five had fallen victim to an explosive device that resulted in their deaths. Other sources claim that the five were fired at via a car traveling near the Harana Bridge. It is still unclear who is behind the elimination of the nuclear scientists.
