There was no much thing as a handshake with Rick. He would always give you the tightest hug you have ever felt in you life. Some days thats what kept me (and a lot of other people going). I owe so much to you, you have truly made a huge impact on my life, and so many others. Rick was one of the kindest people I have ever met in my life, he didnt care about your past, he only wanted you to succeed in your future. He was the one person a lot of people could count on no matter what. Basketball with Rick was never a dull moment. I think I frustrated him more than a lot of people. Constantly, he was either praising me because I did something fantastic, or really letting me hear it. Rick formed me into a leader on and off the court that I thought I would never be. I have now coached basketball for 3 years, and have a full basketball scholarship out of province. Rick is a true hero. A legend. One day I hope I can make an impact on someones life the way he made an impact on mine. I will never forget you. Ever.
