There was one type of cartoon that I always liked since I saw it the very first time as a kid and I still do to this day. It was decades later I found out it called anime. It was Speed Racer that introduced me as a child to a new and very different form of animation, nothing compared to the other cartoons made in the U.S. Never cared for Disney animation as a child. It was Speed Racer, in particular that I really started to love Japanese animation as a child, not knowing what it was decades later. There were 2 other animes that I saw during the same period, Marine Boy and Kimba, the White Lion, but it was Speed Racer that still to this day never will forget.
