There was some good insight in this article. I will be experiencing this in about 6 hours from now as my son, Elder Tyrel Nielsen, returns home from the Philippines. It is a mixed bag of emotions as the time approaches. I am excited to see my son, but I feel his hurt. He has been suffering from anxiety, and it has gotten progressively worse, to the point that it is necessary for him to return home. I love him more than life, and am so proud to call him my son. This twist in the road of life was not one I saw coming, but it will be navigated as we continue on. The comfort I feel inside about this situation is from my testimony of Christ and his gospel. My heart aches for him and I am full of compassion. I find comfort in knowing that when he is facing trials his desire is to be home with his family where he can enjoy the support and love that he knows is waiting. I cant wait to hold him again and express my love for him because come what may he will always be a part of me and I am a proud papa.
