There were confusions and misconceptions regarding time validity of reservation system..We all assumed that reservation system is valid till some date as extended via constitutional amendment after every 10 years..So we did a RTI...And............... The question was: I would like to know the following: As per the Constitution of India what is the time validity of: 1. Reservation for SC(Schedule Caste) and ST(Schedule Tribe) in Parliament and Legislative Assemblies. 2. Reservation for SC(Schedule Caste) , ST(Schedule Tribe) and OBC(Other Backward Class) in Government Jobs. 3. Reservation for SC(Schedule Caste), ST(Schedule Tribe) and OBC(Other Backward Class) in Education. The answers:- 1. The time validity of reservation in Parliament and Legislative assembly is 70 years from commencement of constitution. 2. There is NO time validity for reservation for SC ST OBC in Gov. Jobs. 3.
