There will be many opinions with the following. I only convey it because of my familiarity with government foreign affairs. How many believe we went to Iraq because of WMDs? How many believe we have left Iraq? Are we going to leave Afghanistan? Was Iran involved with 911? I will answer this one - Iran was not involved in 911. How involved was Saudi Arabia with 911? What about Pakistan – what is their involvement in all this? This is just a little food for thought. I’m pushing buttons/pulling chains but I would like to have any feedback. What do you think? Is the following good or bad in your opinion? OBSERVER - Radical Middle East Extremist Some may think we have left Iraq. We have not. President Bush spent close to one billion dollars in Iraq building an air base. It is now called Bush’s Embassy. It is the largest American Embassy. It employs 20 to 30 thousand “Contractors” still in Iraq. It has several F/A-18 aircraft there. We have pulled out our active duty military but we are still alive and well in Iraq. It is well protected and we don’t leave except on advisory missions or other. We built a similar base in Afghanistan. Think about it – we have Iran flanked and we don’t intend to leave. In addition we have a similar air base in Qatar. Qatar hosts the Al Udeid Air Base, which acts as the hub for all American air operations in the Gulf. It has allowed American forces to use an air base to send supplies to Iraq and Afghanistan. Our American military in Qatar specializes in missile defense.
