There will be times the enemy comes against the believer to accuse them of who they are in Christ, and its for one reason, he desires to shipwreck their faith. A few nights ago as I lay in bed, a spirit came into my bedroom, the whole atmosphere changed as I knew I was not alone. I began to pray, when all of a sudden, accusations of the past, fears and doubts and even unbelief tried to speak into my life, it was a manifestation of Satan whose desire that night was to destroy my faith. I began to pray, earnestly pray and rebuked that spirit, and found myself quoting Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Then, just as quickly as it came - it left, and I fell asleep for the rest of the night. No matter how long youve walked with Christ, no matter how gifted you are in one or more of the 9 gifts of the Holy Spirit, the fact is, Satan knows your weakness and private desires. He knows how to accuse, hes been doing it since the time of Adam. But let the believer understand that Satan is a liar, he walks in deceit and falsehood, his entire message is one of destruction, not encouragement. So when you feel discouraged, when you feel that you are not good enough, understand that its not in anything you can do or perform, but your righteousness all came about because of your faith in Christ by what he did on the cross. The past is the past, stop living in it. The past is the past, stop looking back to it. The past is the past, stop remembering it, for you are now a NEW creature, old things have passed away and all things have become new. (2 Cor. 5:17).
