Matthew 7:24–25 NIV I remember when I was young, I built a sand castle on the beach. I put a lot of work into it, but then the tide came in and it all washed away. When the tide went back out there was not even a trace of my masterpiece left. It did not last. In this life it is too easy for other things to become the center of your attention, and then you start to build everything around that. Jobs end, people change, beauty fades, children grow up, everything that we see with our natural eye is temporary and will change given time. All these have a place in your life, but they cannot be the center. If they are, when they change your life will to. Put your trust in God. Do not build your life around things that change, build it around Jesus and then you can still enjoy the rest. He is the unchanging, everlasting rock, and the ones that trust in Him will not be wiped out when the tide comes in.
