Therefore, fear the Lord and worship Him in sincerity and truth. Get rid of the gods your ancestors worshipped beyond the Euphrates River and Egypt, and worship the Lord. But if it doesnt please you to worship the Lord, choose for yourselves today the one you will worship: the gods your fathers worshipped beyond the Euphrates River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you are living. As for me and my family, we will worship the Lord. Joshua 24: 14-15 In our scripture verses for today, we see the message from Joshua to the Israelites of so long ago, but it is a message that truly needs to be heard today!!! There are so many in this modern world who idolize or worship people, possessions, positions, and prestige!!! There are so many who love their money and all of their things!!! We live in a materialistic, worldly, pagan society today that is void of the strong Christian influence that our nation once knew!!! Oh, how we need to turn back to the Lord!!! How we need to renew our commitment to the true and living God!!! --- As we open our eyes and look around us, as we survey our surroundings and acknowledge the mess our nation and our world is in, surely we will be compelled to declare, as Joshua once did, AS FOR ME AND MY FAMILY, WE WILL WORSHIP THE LORD. --- I BELIEVE IT IS TIME TO GET RID OF OUR FALSE GODS AND IDOLS AND GET BACK TO WORSHIPPING AND SERVING THE GOD OF ALL CREATION!!!
