Theres a big week ahead for EastEnders’ Shabnam Masood next week as her secret is finally revealed. After weeks of speculation, fans will delve into Shabnam’s past at the end of this month when the much-loved character confesses a shocking truth. This comes when Shabnam (Rakhee Thakrar) finds herself short of company after she pushes away those who care about her most. On her 29th birthday, Shabnam is firstly dealt a bad card as while she begins the day with the hope of celebrating a promotion at the Minute Mart, things don’t go to plan when she discovers that she is being made redundant. Masood is also on the warpath when he finds out about the secret money she has inherited. After exchanging a few choice words with Masood, Tamwar, Stacey and Kush, Shabnam finds herself alienated from her friends and family. However, it’s not long before she seeks solace in Kush (Davood Ghadami) and tells him that she is a bad person and has done something terrible. Wanting to cheer her up, Kush suggests that she lets people see the real Shabnam, but he is surprised when Shabnam leans in for a passionate kiss and the pair disappear into his flat… The next day, feeling guilty, Shabnam prays for forgiveness and is left doubting the consequences of the previous night’s actions. As the week goes on, Shabnam is able to mend her friendship with Stacey when she realises that she needs all the friends she can get. The girls then hang out together whilst babysitting for Kat and at last the moment comes – Shabnam comes clean and shares a secret which has haunted her for years… Rocked to her core, Stacey (Lacey Turner) asks for the full story of Shabnam’s revelation and she is completely floored when Shabnam reveals all… ~ Eastenders Corner
