Theres been a lot of interesting discussion about what white is/represents that Ive come across in reading about Ferguson. Ive been hearing white, this common legal profile, defined not only as complexion but also as upper class status and privilege- all while those qualities are contrastingly held as growingly less than common. More people seem to be examining this dichotomy- the ambiguity inherent to this term white which we hastily employ. More thinking like this could aid in the deconstruction and evolution of our pro-colonial language.
