Theres considerable comedy in the Rajdeep Sardesai issue becoming the countrys cause celebre. As a journalist it is Rajdeeps duty to provoke people into giving a response. Those who hilariously call him anti-national for having provoked people may want to recall how darling Arnab provokes (all but BJP) people from the safe confines of the studio. And hey, those who those who think Rajdeep was a Bhagat Singh who sacrificed his all for the sake of free press, am sorry to disappoint. He did no such thing. He was needlessly aggressive. He should have retreated; they were a bunch of goondas getting a chance to do MC/BC on TV and flash patriotism at the same time. Which Indian can resist that?
