There’s a new face at the altar today. We welcome our new associate pastor Father Bill Crowe. With Father Dan Fox’s retirement last week the archdiocese has appointed Fr. Bill as our new priest. It is a five year appointment so be sure to give him a warm welcome into our parish family. Six times I have been transferred to new appointments and each move has had its strange mix of emotions. In each of my moves, I left a place where I felt at home, accepted and loved and moved into my new home feeling like a stranger. And when the priest I was replacing was very popular … well, you can imagine! There must be parallels in the secular world when one moves to a new job. So whether clergy or lay, life does have its challenges and I am sure Fr. Bill is up to it.
