These Moon pictures are from Sunday, Nov. 2, 2014. I also imaged a double star named Albireo. I was outside in the parking lot with my new Advanced VX mount & a Celestron 127mm 5 inch Maksutov telescope from about 7:30pm to 9:30pm. I bought this new mount for a sturdier view plus better tracking & so far the difference in my images is amazing. I used a Celestron NexImage 5 telescope camera. I processed most of the roughly 2 minute videos first in PIPP (Planetary Image Pre Processor) to bring the frame counts down from average 3000 to 1200, something that the final image stacking software Registax 6 can handle. I did the auto sharpen, auto adjusted colors, resized images & added my watermark with freeware photo editing software Irfanview. Temps were quite nippy in the low 40s and the skies had wispy clouds here & there. I know one of the images with the half circle mountain range is Mare Imbrium, the Sea of Rainbows. Im looking forward to setting up at a darker local field to get even better captures.
