These babies went to vet to be retested for heartworms to figure out our plan of action. Herman the pointer mix has severe heartworms and skiddles the heeler mix has a mild case. Both dogs are being sent to Angels of the Assisi in Roanoke for treatment. We are looking at $450-$500 per dog to be treated. If anyone can help with donations to save these poor babies lives it will be greatly appreciated. They came from a shelter in SC and tested positive there, caught kennel cough, and were put on the euthanasia list so prior to being put down a kind woman saved them had the fully vetted and sent them here to start being treated for heartworms. We are planning to start treatment in the next week after thanksgiving holiday. Were an hour and 20 mins from roanoke so we have travel expenses to take and retrieve both dogs as they must stay overnight due to treatment. We are hopeing the boys will be okay they both deserve a second chance to be someones family member and have the life they deserve.
