These images are taken from the film The Great Gatsby, if you draw a line in the middle (vertical), you would notice that the left and right image is proportionate to the other, which is a symmetrical cinematography.Most scenes in the film are taken (mostly wideshots) like these and usually rare for reasons that shots lately are taken with the rule of thirds composition. Symmetrical composition is actually good as the shot to the film suggest, like many other films from Stanley Kubrick and Wes Anderson. These is a beautiful visual statement about Symmetry against The Rule of Thirds.
