These photos were taken about two years ago whilst I was dining in Star Cafe during a brief home visit (a must do for all home returnees), and found to my surprise and delight that a few of the Goo Chin children were home visiting from Canada where most of them are now based, and were there too, hanging out and perhaps reminiscing the good old times. Little did I know then that that would be my last taste of the fabled Star Cafe Pancit Canton, Ho To Tay Soup, Beef Ampalaya, Lumpia Shanghai, and Egg Pie--- and my last time to see the Goo Chin scions. I am happy to have had these photos with them. Star Cafe and the Old Man Goo Chin and family are part of some of my very best childhood memories of HOME and my folks.
