These remind me of the chain email surveys that got passed around in the late 90s ... that used to irritate my Dad because we had to pay to receive all the nonsense emails in Nigeria. Hahahahaha. And now email is free and there is such a thing as social media and internet lingo beyond A/S/L. @_@ My number from Karla is 9: 1. I used to have a southern English accent before this American one took over. My brain still considers this a downgrade. ;) 2. I have trypophobia. @_@ Lotus seed heads and fish eyes are especially triggering. 3. I used to wish I had red hair, green eyes, and freckles. Possibly because I had a Barbie and a best friend (Rebecca Sauerwein) in 4th grade matching that description and I loved (still love) Anne of Green Gables. Still have a fondness for gingers. :) 4. My comfort foods are Korean kimchi jjigae, Nigerian red stew, and Indian lamb bhuna. 5. If I had another life, I’d be a musical actress - I would love to have a career singing, dancing, and acting. 6. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve become crustier ... but when I feel like I’ve met a “kindred spirit”, I blurt out a version of “I like you, let’s be friends”. Hahahaha. Awkward. But it’s lead to sweeter friendships as well as blowing away the chaff. 7. I’m geeked out that the 50th anniversary of Doctor Who is this weekend. *squeal* :v 8. I’ve ticked off a lot on my “never do” list - live in Korea, teach English, go to graduate school, work in a lab, marry a Korean (but I only did this one HALF-heartedly b/c he’s HALF korean - haha). Ill never be a multi-billionaire, Ill never be a multi-billionaire ... :D 9. After a long job dry spell - I had a cluster of interviews that resulted in multiple job offers - and I’ll be back to grind on Monday. I guess I have to call myself a scientist now … even if it feels pretentious and awkward. Thank you to everyone who prayed for me and sent good thoughts my way. And thank you to my wonderful and nutty husband Daniel for supporting me in a bajillion ways during my jobless state.
