They are not equipment! Bring our War Dogs home! A military dog serving oversees may be left in that area of the world, sometimes adopted by a family there. Transporting a retired military dog back to America is often costly, as well as a demand on resources, so the military may not want to accommodate this service. If this mandate were to pass, all retired military dogs will be transported back to the United States, no matter the cost, and likely into the home of a former handler. This movement is honorable and compassionate. Retired military dogs deserve to be comfortable in their country, in familiar homes with familiar people. Help retired military dogs by urging the Department of Defense to allow this movement to become commonplace within the military.
