They asked whether I wanted to learn French or Spanish; I asked - TopicsExpress

They asked whether I wanted to learn French or Spanish; I asked for German or Hebrew, but they offered neither. My mother said she had learned French when she went to school, so I chose French. It wound up being my hardest subject for the next four years, since I had difficulty juggling various languages simultaneously; speaking German at home, remembering my Hebrew, learning English, and then trying to learn French on top of all that.
